Publications on the Qur’an as literature, and on modern Palestinian and Lebanese literature. Projects: „Jewish and Islamic Hermeneutics as Cultural Critique“ at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin (School of Advanced Studies in Berlin), „Figurations of Martyrdom in Oriental literatures“ at the Zentrum für Literaturforschung in Berlin.
