Brian Alkire

Brian Alkire is a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature at the University of Zurich, where he is writing a dissertation entitled Voices of Exhaustion: Form and Physiology in Kafka, Beckett, and Bernhard. He received his M. A. in German Literature from the Humboldt University of Berlin and his B. A. in German and English from the University of Michigan. Two recent translations of his are forthcoming in 2019: Aesthetic Theory (ed. Dieter Mersch et al., Zürich: diaphanes, 2019), and a new Levinas translation, On Obliteration (Zürich: diaphanes, 2019).
