Ana Marina Gamba

Ana Marina Gamba is an FWO-funded postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Cultural Studies at KU Leuven (Belgium) and holds a PhD in Latin American Literature from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). Her current research explores corpo-territorial aesthetics in contemporary artistic productions, including literature, film, and performance. Her academic interests include questions of embodiment, territory, and aesthetics, examined from decolonial and gender-critical perspectives. She has published articles in Latin American, North American, and European journals, and has contributed to collective volumes such as Vania Barraza/María Elena Rueda (eds.): Female Agency in Films Made by Latin American Women (Cham: Springer Nature Switzerland/Palgrave Macmillan, 2024). She has undertaken research stays at various institutions, including the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Department of Gender Studies at the London School of Economics. She is currently preparing the manuscript for her first book, based on her doctoral dissertation, titled Escrituras de la vulnerabilidad: precariedad, afecto y heteronomía en la literatura latinoamericana contemporánea de autorías femeninas.
